Things to do
- Watch the TT races. Feel the roar as motorbikes race along public roads on the famous Mountain Course.
- See the Laxey Wheel. Marvel at the giant red waterwheel built in 1854 to pump water from lead mines.
- Ride the Snaefell Mountain Railway. Climb by vintage electric tram to the summit, where on clear days you can see several countries.
- Explore Peel Castle. Walk the walls of a ruined castle on St Patrick's Isle, overlooking the sunset coast.
- Tour Castle Rushen. Visit one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the British Isles in Castletown.
- Hike the Raad ny Foillan. Follow the 'Way of the Gull', a coastal path that loops right around the island.
- Spot seals and seabirds. Take a boat to the Calf of Man, a bird observatory and seal haven at the island's southern tip.
- Ride the steam railway. Travel by Victorian steam train between Douglas and Port Erin.
